Sorcerer Guide & Tips

Sorcerers are masters of destructive, offensive and aggressive magic. They have access to a vast array of combat spells, which they can use to deal impressive damage to multiple enemies at once. Thanks to their quick advancement in magic level, they can also cast powerful healing spells, but unlike druids, they cannot heal others without healing runes.

Because of their focus on the training of the mind, they are physically weaker than knights and paladins, and as such, have little physical strength to carry items and equipment.

Benefits

  • Sorcerers can use powerful spells such as Ultimate Explosion and make huge damage to their enemies.
  • Strong damage dealt with the runes.
  • Can use Magic Shield to drastically increase survivability.
  • Fastest advancement in magic level (same as druids).
  • Largest amount of mana and fastest regeneration (same as druids).
  • Can make strongest types of offensive runes, including SD Rune, the strongest runes that deal damage to a single target.

Drawbacks

  • Weak in terms of defense, sorcerers must maintain distance from their enemies while shooting runes. Sometimes, that is difficult and some people might not enjoy such gameplay.
  • Not the best choice for hunting for profit due to the cost of runes and low carrying capacity.
  • Lowest amount of hitpoints and slowest regeneration (same as druids).
  • Slowest advancement in shielding and melee skills (same as druids).
  • Lowest capacity (same as druids).

Stat increase per level

  • 10 oz of capacity.
  • 5 hitpoints.
  • 30 mana points.

Regeneration

  • 1 hitpoint every 12 seconds.
  • 1 mana every 3 seconds.

With Promotion

  • 1 hitpoint every 6 seconds.
  • 1 mana every 2 seconds.

Making Money

  • Hunting with Traps.
  • Sell Runes. Druids can make large amounts of money as a Provider of all kinds of runes, except healing runes. You can make runes while standing around somewhere (manasit) but you can also use a melee weapon in a hunting ground wich you can easily slaughter and meanwhile making runes.
  • You can offer a "Monk Service", knights and paladins may pay some money for convincing Monk to train their skills.

Gaining Experience(exp)

  • Use a blocker. This way you can hunt larger creatures that you would not normally be able to take on alone.
  • Hunt with Summoned Creatures. When hunting with summons, you do not need to use as many runes, and you can stay in your hunting area longer.

Advancing Your Skills

  • Never have full mana. Your Magic Level is advanced by using mana. Every second that you have full mana, you are losing potential magic level advancement.
  • Spend as little time as possible in Protection Zones. You cannot use mana that you do not generate, so spend as little time as possible in situations where you do not regenerate mana.
  • Always eat. Make sure you have access to Food at all times. If you run out of food, then you will not be able to regenerate mana for using.
  • If you saved some money, you can use Mana Fluids to create runes for hunting.
  • Don't use Magic Shield if you don't need to. Any mana that you lose to your Magic Shield does not count towards your magic level.
  • Sleep in a bed. If you are a Golden Account player, it's strongly recommended to put your sorcerer to sleep with a full stomach when you're not playing. This will grant you "free" mana that you otherwise wouldn't regenerate offline. It might not seem like much, but doing this constantly will be really helpful for your magic level.
